TIME AND ATTENDANCE
Time is the most irreplaceable resource in any organisation. Once wasted, it is gone forever - along with your company's profitability. Although DAKAR HR cannot create more time for you, we can help you control the time ahead of you to stay ahead of competition.

The Dakar Time & Attendance system integrates directly with Dakar Hand Readers equipment.

Rather than being simply a clock import and data conversion facility, DAKAR HR T&A offers a comprehensive solution which has been designed with T&A users in mind, taking care of any exceptional cases that may arise during normal operation. The T&A module projects many benefits, including
- Full integration with the other modules making up DAKAR HR, especially Payroll.
- Totally user defined shift schedules and other related information
- Supports a wide range of clocking hardware (punch clocks, swipe cards, hand readers, etc) as well as any mix of these hardware platforms
- Sophisticated employee habit pattern analysis techniques that enable you to save precious time allocating employees to schedules
- Shifts and schedules, even on a rotation basis, are automatically recognised without the need of redefinition
- Allows manual override and adjustment facilities, exception handling and automated correction of suspicious clocking information
- Comprehensive absence-management facilities.

ATTENDANCE SCHEDULE DEFINITION
The Attendance Schedule definition allows for the creation and allocation of particular shift patterns to a schedule, which is then allocated to each employee.
The schedule can consist of any number of shift patterns spanning on any number of days. In this particular case, two shift patters exist each spanning seven days. Besides a general shift pattern, the Dakar Time & Attendance also caters for alternate plans which come into effect automatically if the employee's 'swipe' does not fall within the parameters set in the general shift settings.

EMPLOYEE SHIFT PROJECTION

Each employee's projected shift can be analysed through the Employee Shift Roster Projection window. The period analysed is determined by the user and another similar window exists which allows the analysis of two weeks at a glance.

GLOBAL RAW CLOCKINGS
All the employee clockings can be easily analysed through the Global Raw Clockings window. Any clocking errors, e.g. Double In swipes, Double Out swipes, In swipe and no corresponding Out swipe, etc, will be trapped by the system and these errors can then be rectified through the same window.

CONVERTED TIMINGS WINDOW
After the raw clockings have been filtered through the employee's schedule and shift rules, the results can be viewed and changed from the Converted Timings window. Any adjustments such as overtime, lateness, early departure, premiums, etc, which apply for the particular shift, will also be visible in this window. These adjustments will then be automatically picked up in the payroll run.

AUTHORISATIONS
| Any adjustments automatically generated by the conversion process, i.e. the filtering of the raw clockings to come up with the converted timings, can be set up to either be automatically authorised or else to be authorised by the user. Dedicated authorisation windows exist within the Dakar Time & Attendance to facilitate the authorisation of any pending adjustments. |
