CLIENT’S SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE

Clients opting to keep the Dakar database within their own local server infrastructure (unless introducing a public domain), have the following options:

This architecture is typical of most installations where clients access the Dakar Windows 32-bit system that is hosted on a Windows Server.
Clients may operate Dakar using the latest Windows® operating Systems.

2. STAND-ALONE SYSTEM

Intended for the low end payroll and HR users, the Dakar Windows 32-bit standalone application provides all the functionality needed to administer small companies’ payroll and HR needs.

Web Application (through browser)

Web applications provide the same functionality but additionally gain from the benefit of working across multiple platforms, which is why in recent years Dakar developed the Dakinet platform with a view to providing its clients with a total web Payroll and HR solution. With the Dakar system residing on a Windows Server, clients can access the application remotely using any of the more popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox), from the comfort of their home or office.

The ability to update and maintain web applications without distributing and installing software on potentially hundreds of client computers is a key reason for the popularity of web applications, as is the inherent support for cross-platform compatibility.

Upon client’s special request, Salaroo may be installed on a local server (Dakar’s data center) as an emulation of a computer system sharing several operating systems on the same machine.

Upon client’s special request, Salaroo may be installed on a single dedicated local server (Dakar’s data center).

For Salaroo, there is no installation and Clients don’t need to download nor install anything. The basic Payroll and Leave are available for Companies looking for a simple setup.

B. Advanced

Upon Client’s request, additional and specific HR functionality may be included on top of the basic Salaroo setup.
